keyword research is key to creating a successful website. Before creating a website you will want to know what keywords are competitive, how much traffic a keyword generates, and how hard it will be to rank for that keyword.
For the most part, unless you are a million dollar business you will want to steer clear of highly competitive keywords. You will waste your time and see little to no traffic in return.
Instead focus on long tail keywords with low competition. These get a decent amount of traffic and will help you rank in the top ten search results of the search engines.
If you don’t do keyword research, the amount of visitors to your site will be left to luck and other advertising methods. Keyword research will help you with organic search results which is free traffic.
It will also be helpful with your PPC campaigns.
